Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Under no circumstances should you try to troubleshoot your residential electrician system on your own. You should call an electrician whenever you have an electrical problem, both for your personal safety and so that your home's electrical system remains up to code.

Typically no! If you smell burning or hear crackling or sparks, or notice any discoloration from overheating, or burn marks on receptacles, we recommend you turn off that circuit breaker right away and call an electrician! Something as small as one loose wire or terminal, can potentially escelate to a serious house fire if left unattended.

We can provide a free quote for all major projects. Our free estimates exclude real estate estimates and minor repairs. Drop us a line, and we will get back to you quickly to arrange for a quote!

Yes indeed! We will guarantee the industry standard,  2 years on all workmanship,  and 1 year on all new materials supplied.

We can support Vancouver Island from coast to coast! Travel fees may apply, within reason of course.

To answer this question accurately requires a service load calculation! There are rules in the Canadian Electrical code that determine the base load by square footage of the home, then seperate percentages designated to add in all other significant loads such as heating, stove, dryer, etc. to determiine the overall demand, to be compared to your service size to determine the remaining space for new additions. if you need more power typically that would require a service upgrade! But in some scenarios, there are creative alternative solutions such as transfer switches or energy management devices, to control the demand of some heavy demands.
